Creamsicle Gradient

Hey guys,

I finally did another gradient!  It feels like I haven't done one in forever, I love doing gradients I think they are so pretty.  I wanted something girly for this one so I went with pink and coral.  I used OPI Pink Friday and Finger Paints Gimme Some Sugar then topped the gradient off with Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter.

You make my heartbeat to the beat of the drum...

Hey guys,

I have another Valentine day nail look today.  I saw this on The Nailasaurus and knew I had to try this out.  Mine aren't exactly the same as hers but I tried!  I originally tried to do the heart like she did it but mine turned out awful so I decided to try something different.  I am not sure how much I like how the middle finger turned out I wish I had just done the heartbeat line things and not gone for the little heart.  I used Orly Pure Porcelain and red acrylic paint with a toothpick to draw the design on my nails.

Valentine Skittles

Hey guys,

I decided to add a little nail art to the Design Seed Skittles I posted.  I used white acrylic paint with a toothpick to make the hearts and the little dots.  It's really simple but I thought it turned out pretty cute.

Design Seed Skittles

Hey guys,

I was on MakeupAlley the other day and someone had posted about this website Design Seeds which basically has a bunch of color combos for design inspiration.  It is great for getting ideas for mani's, either if you want to do a fun skittle mani or if you want to think of different color combos for nail art.  I can't find the pic that I was inspired by now though.  I used (from pinky to thumb) Sally Hansen Grey Area, China Glaze Make Some Noise, Color Club Get a Clue, Orly Pure Porcelain and Color Club Sheer Disguise.

Party of Five Glitters

Hey guys,

I was craving a bright, glittery mani so I did this one last night.  I used Sinful Colors Bikini, Wet n Wild Party of Five Glitters and inm Northern Lights Holographic topcoat.  Bikini is the most awesome hot pink, almost neon nail polish ever, it is probably my favourite pink out of my whole collection.  I really like this combo it is a nice bright fun mani that makes me happy!

Open Face Jelly Sammy

Hey guys,

I did a different technique today that I am really liking.  I am calling it an open face jelly sammy but I think I have seen people call it an eggshell mani?  Basically it is a jelly sammy, but after you do that you apply another coat of glitter on top of the mani.   I used Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect Satin and the pink hex glitter from Sally's Girl.  Oh as a side note I love these Smooth and Perfect polishes!  They are really great for jelly sandwiches or as a really subtle nail look.

I did two coats of Satin, one coat of the glitter, another coat of Satin, and lastly one more coat of glitter.

Pearly Brights

Hey guys,

I grabbed this polish at Sally's the other day and I am in love with it!  It's Nina Ultra Pro Pearly Brights, a gorgeous coral leaning pink neon with shimmer.  I don't know how this one has never caught my eye before.  It is super neon and the color is so lovely.  The formula was really nice on this one, especially for a neon.  I did 3 coats but if you are careful two would be fine.  Also I am sorry for the dry fingers forgot to moisturize before taking pics and I had used acetone to remove my previous mani.

Mani Spam

Hey guys,

I have been slacking on my blogging lately, sorry about that.  It just seems like there hasn't been enough time for anything the past few weeks and I got sick last week.  These are some random swatches of mani's that I took pics of but didn't really think they were worthy of a post.  Either because I didn't like how the pics came out or I did a crappy application or something.  I promise I will have some good posts really soon!

Gumdrop

I have been going through a pastel phase lately, I just love pastel nail polish so flipping much!  I used Orly Gumdrop and China Glaze Optical Illusion both of these polishes are just gorgeous.  Orly's creme polishes are just heaven, the apply so nicely and this color is so lovely.  Optical Illusion is probably my favourite color out of the Prismatic collection, it looks so nice paired with a minty green color.

Do You Lilac It? Dotticure

Hey guys,

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, life has been a bit hectic.  I chopped my nails down really short because my middle fingernail on my right hand split and tore.  I hate breaking nails!  Anyways, I have been trying to come up with something cute and fun to do on my nails but I am feeling a little uninspired lately.  I went with a dotticure because it's easy and looks cute.

I used OPI Do You Lilac It? and Orly Luxe

Happy New Year!

Hey guys,

Hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year.  I have my very first mani of 2013 to show today.  I had done a different mani for New Years Eve and it got destroyed before I could get any pictures of it, so I did this one yesterday.  I love feather mani's they always looks so delicate and pretty!

I used OPI Skull and Glossbones, China Glaze Polarized, Wet N Wild I Need a Refresh-Mint and an Amuse white nail art pen.
