Mr. Bubble
I have the other Lush Lacquer that I purchased to show you all today. I love this one, it is mix of matte white, pink and blue glitters. I had a hard time choosing a base color for this one though. I think a pastel blue or a pale pink would look nice with this but I chose a blue-toned gray for my mani.

Salt N Peppa
Oh my goodness, I finally have my camera back and I have got an awesome mani to show you all today. I purchased my first indie polishes the other day and I am in love. If you don't know what indie polish is, they are just nail polish made my individuals and some of them are insanely gorgeous. I purchased from Lush Lacquer on Etsy. I just bought two mini's because I had never bought any before and I figured if I was disappointed then at least they were just mini's. However I couldn't be happier with my purchase and I plan on getting full sizes in the two I purchased (Mr. Bubble and Salt N Peppa) and several more from their store.
Now onto this mani I used Sinful Colors Bikini and Lush Lacquer Salt N Peppa.

Get A Clue
This is a pretty, soft, feminine mani. I used Color Club Get A Clue, this color is a little on the lighter side for my skin tone so I added Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter to it, which added just enough of a pinker tint for it to look better against my skin.

Zombie Zest
Sorry for the lack of posts this week, busy with work. Also my camera is out of commission for the next week or so, so I will am posting some older mani's that I haven't put here on my blog yet.
First up is China Glaze Zombie Zest, this one came out with their 2010 Halloween collection I believe. It is pretty sheer and looks really nice over black or a darker grey polish. Actually Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Grey Area is great as a base coat for Zombie Zest. I did this one by itself and this is three coats.

Pie In the Sky
I have a different kind of jelly sandwich today. For this one I did a creme as the base, added glitter then did a jelly over the top of the glitter. This is a fun way to do a jelly sammy because you can do whatever base you would like all you need for the jelly part is a white, off white or pale pink jelly to put over the top; it works as a mani refresher too if you are tired of your current one but don't really want to take the polish off.
I used Maybelline Pie In the Sky (this was a limited edition color a few years ago but something similar is Orly Snowcone), one coat of Wet N Wild Hallucinate and one coat of Wet N Wild Party of Five Glitters, then two coats of OPI Don't Touch My Tutu.

Nails On Fire Gradient
I was just trying something out with this mani. Seeing what effect I could get by putting a crackle over a gradient.
For the gradient I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Yellow Kitty, Sally's Girl neon orange polish, Essie Bazooka, and the shatter is China Glaze Cracked Medallion over the gradient.

Mummy May I?
I decided to step away from the bright colors I have been doing on my nails lately and went for a black with purple glitter in it.
I did one coat of Wet N Wild Ebony Hates Chris and two coats of China Glaze Mummy May I. This is a nice break from the crazy, bright, neon and glittery nails (not that I don't love them!) that I have been doing for several months now.

Scribble Nails Tutorial
I have a fun, really easy tutorial for you guys today. I did this one day just kind of playing around with my nail art pens and I actually liked how it looked.
Step one: start off with a base coat in whatever color and finish you want. I used China Glaze Gothic Lolita.
Step two: grab a nail art pen to make your scribbles. I used one that has a striper and a pen in one bottle, but you could use the nail art pens from Sally Hansen or a small nail art brush dipped in polish.
Step three: You pretty much scribble over your nails with the nail art pen. I told you all it is super easy and pretty much mistake proof. Once you are finished and happy with your nails wait a few minutes then apply a top coat. Make sure that the design is somewhat dry if the design is still wet it will streak when you apply your top coat! The best way to apply the top coat is to get a large blob of it on the end of the brush and move it over the nail without actually "brushing" it on.
You should have something similar to this!
Here is one I tried with a nail art brush. I used Essie Mojito Madness, Wet N Wild On A Trip and China Glaze Frostbite for the scribble color. I should have used a smaller brush for this one though it is kind of a fail haha. But it shows how you can get a different look with a nail art brush.

Bubblegum Nails
Today I have a super cute manicure to show you guys. I think this ranks as probably one of my favorite mani's ever. It's very girly and cute, which isn't always my style, but I love this one a lot!
I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Bubblegum Pink, Revlon Whimsical over a nail polish that I mixed myself (fyi this is also known as a franken polish) it is similar in color to something like China Glaze For Audrey or Aquadelic, and some hexagonal large blue glitter that I got in a little nail art pack from Dollar Tree.
To apply the little blue glitter I took some regular top coat and put a dab on a piece of paper then I dipped a toothpick in to get a bit on the end of it, applied a small dot of the top coat to my nail, then picked up the glitter with the toothpick and placed it on the nail. I did a layer of regular top coat over the entire nail and then a coat of Seche Vite which is quick drying. The extra layer of top coat helps the glitter to stay on better.

Metallic Dotticure
Cute polka-dot nails today! I have seen a couple of pictures on pinterest of these metallic dotted manicures and figured I would try it out. I used Essie French Affair and Orly Rage. Rage is a gorgeous rose gold foil, but I always feel like it looks a little odd against my skin tone. I think I have found a nice way to wear it without it looking weird on me!
Also as a side not I think I may do a tutorial on dotted mani's, but I am not sure if it something that anyone would want to see...

I took a bunch of pictures of this trying to get the dots to not get such a crazy reflection off of them, but I just couldn't do it!

Pink Plumeria
I have a simple mani today. The other day I picked up China Glaze's Pink Plumeria from their summer neon's collection. This one is interesting indoors it looks like a bright pastel neon coral leaning pink. Outdoors it lean more neon pink and loses that pastel look that it has indoors.
I tried to get color accurate photos but this one is hard! It photographs lighter than it is in real life but it isn't darker than traditional neon's imagine this color but not so pastel looking haha.

Jelly Sandwich With Flakies
I did another jelly sandwich, but instead of using glitter I used a flakie polish. Flakies are a top coat that have like little mylar flakes in it. They flash different colors at different angles, they have been getting fairly popular here recently. Several companies have flakie top coats, Essie has one called Shine of the Times (I hear this one is being discontinued though), Zoya and Finger Paints both came out with some this last spring, I know some others have them too but the Essie one is probably the easiest to find if you can grab it before Essie quits making it.
For mine jelly sammy I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Purple Pizzazz and Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Hidden Treasure (both of these are discontinued products but you can get a purple that is close to Purple Pizzaz by Sinful Colors Daddy's Girl).
I used three coats of Purple Pizzaz, one coat of Hidden Treasure and one more coat of Purple Pizzazz.

Happy Fourth of July!
Ok I promise this is my last Fourth of July mani. This is the one I have had in mind to do for a while now for the actual Fourth. I did a glitter gradient w/ Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue, China Glaze Ring In the Red and L.A. Girls Glitter Addict Animate . Hopefully the pictures are okay I changed my image hosting site because I was having serious issue with the one I have been using.

Independence Day Nails
Ok here is another 4th of July mani that I like a lot more than the other one I did!
I used Sinful Colors Ruby, Ruby, China Glaze Ring In the Red, Pure Ice French Kiss, Orly Dayglow, Wet N Wild Hallucinate and a red striper polish. For the stripes I used tape to tape off the nail and make the lines as straight as possible and then painted the white on over the blue, I then took the red striper polish and added it above the white stripes. For the little heart I just used a dotting tool and made the shape.
